I’m not sure why this works, but I think it kickstarts your metabolism, because your body believes it is feasting (as opposed to fasting) and immediately begins to burn calories frivolously, the way people spend money after they win the lottery.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We all know that when we fast, our metabolisms slow down because we go into starvation mode, and our bodies figure they need to squeeze every possible calorie out of anything we eat. Then it’s MUCH harder to lose weight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But when you are constantly feeding yourself, your body apparently does just the opposite! It heats up and starts burning through everything. At least, that’s my theory on why it works so well–because the fantastic side effect is that you feel really high energy, like you’re on a Starbuck’s intravenous drip or something. So I really think it’s cranking up your metabolism.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bottom line is that you just start melting away.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;WHAT KIND OF QUESTIONS WILL THE BOOK ANSWER?&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*What is a 100-calorie portion? (It lists most foods and how much of it you can eat.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*What kind of food can you eat? (All kinds, healthy or not.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*Can you literally eat ANYTHING? (Yep)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*Does this diet work with any eating program or food choice plan that exists, from high carb to low carb, organic vegan to junk food, and everything in between? (Yes indeedy.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*What if I stayed up 24 hours and ate every 90 minutes–would the diet still work? (Hint: I bet the answer is “yes” but get the book and find out!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*Do normal grocery stores now offer tons of different kinds of foods pre-bagged in 100-calorie portions? (Sure do.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*Even stuff like Doritos and cookies? (Yes, and that’s enough questions. Time to read the book. :))&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;HOW THE SIX WORD DIET WAS INVENTED&lt;/u&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I invented the diet myself, and others who have tried it have had dramatic results. They come to me freaking out with joy, telling me that I need to get this diet out to everyone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And now I’m doing exactly that, because I am so happy to be able to share my discovery with others who, like me, can’t lose weight ANY other way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you’re one of those people–oh my gosh, do I ever sympathize with you! I had desperately tried every diet known to mankind. I must have the worst metabolism in the world, because I actually gained weight on Atkins and even on Weight Watchers!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And I not only did all these diets exactly right, but I walked on a treadmill for an hour a day for three years, and I still had a butt the size of a Buick LeSabre, hence the men’s XXL at Wal Mart to cover myself up (there’s a photo below of me covering myself up with a shirt big enough to double as a pup tent.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was such a diet failure that my doctor even tested me for thyroid problems, because he knew I was trying so hard, and even he couldn’t figure out why I was never losing weight, but even slowly gaining!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, I hated being fat so much that I decided that if there wasn’t a diet out there that could help people like me, I was going to invent it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I started thinking and thinking about everything I knew about how the body works, and about nutrition and weight loss. I’d read enough diet books to be a professor on the subject, for pete’s sake.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then one day, it came to me. I quickly thought out the details and became my own experimental guinea pig, to test the diet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Did it work?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;OMG.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I’m a size TWO! For me, this is absolutely unbelievable. My clothes look like doll clothes. I can’t even believe they go on. I’m 5 foot 7 inches tall, and a 2 is just out of the ball park. And I was eating all the time. I even wondered if something was wrong with me because I had NEVER been able to lose weight before. But my doctor confirmed that I was in perfect health.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, people started noticing really soon and asking me if I was losing weight. I said I was (how long had I dreamed of THAT conversation?) and naturally, they asked what diet I was using. That’s when I started explaining my invention.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even though they weren’t necessarily convinced that eating so often would allow a person to lose weight, they could plainly see that I was shrinking, and they knew I had always been so heavy.&lt;br /&gt;So of course they went home and started trying it too. And that’s when everyone went nuts and started begging me to tell them all the details about this diet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In fact, asking me questions was the main thing they did, after they all started losing all this weight so fast. Soon, I noticed that they were all asking me the same questions.&lt;br /&gt;They wanted to know WHY the diet worked, what was a 100-calorie portion, did I have a list of things they could eat, how would you do this diet in the workplace, can you cheat on it, do you have to exercise, are there foods that are unlimited, what kind of food can you eat, what do you do in a restaurant, can you tailor the diet to your own lifestyle, what if you’re vegan, will it work with Atkins, and so on.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I realized I really needed to write this all out, not just for my pals, but for everyone who has ever tried their heart out to lose weight and ended up crying after getting on a scale–and so now, voila!–the book exists. Absolutely ALL of their questions are answered in the book, and everyone’s favorite part of the book is the index where I list zillions of foods–including things like french fries and hamburgers and pies and ice cream–and I tell how much of it you can eat at each meal. See, you really can eat ANYTHING.
